Beatles Album: ANTHOLOGY 3 - This VINYL 3 LP Set is the THIRD (#3) and LAST release in a (3) THREE-Part Series. This RARE and Out-of-Print 1st USA Pressing album on Capitol/Apple Records (C1 7243 8 344511) was released on October 28, 1996. Featured on the cover’s shrink wrap is a Bright YELLOW STICKER promoting the contents of the LP, which ONLY appeared on the 1st Pressings of this album. The ANTHOLOGY 3 Triple-LP Set includes 50 (Mono & Stereo) previously “ALTERNATE & UNRELEASED” Tracks of Rehearsal Takes, Finished (but Unreleased) Takes, and Works in Progress of Beatles recorded music between 1968 – 1969, during their turbulent period of The White Album, Abbey Road, and Let It Be. Beatles perform songs known and unknown. Some of these songs would eventually be finished and released as SOLO tracks later in the 1970s, while other songs would remain UNRELEASED until now, like the included infamous "What's the New Mary Jane". The term “Mary Jane” was a British euphemism for the word “drug”. That said, “What’s the New Drug” was most likely the “real meaning” behind the song title and the very reason for it being “pulled” from public release!
